I have SO much work to do today with the impending move and Christmas. Lots of packing, organising, looking after Bubbles and ofcourse general housework, not to mention the ongoing war with the local ant community. But, I always have time to wander my eyes through countless wedding blogs. I love them, they are my new favourite thing!!
Organising for our own wedding has sort of stalled for the moment as the move and christmas is first on the agenda lately. But with the recent, long awaited, engagement of my brother S and his beautiful fiance, also S, my wedding brain has been switched on again! So here is a little peek at some of the wedding blogs I have fallen in love with....
Ofcourse, Style Me Pretty is first on the list, this blog has everything, it is the perfect one stop shop for ideas, other blogs, sites and vendors. Most of the other blogs i mention i will have found through SMP. I regularly need a Pretty hit now, I'm addicted.
And through Style Me Pretty I have come across Grey Like Weddings There is lots of DIY projects and beautiful pictures and ideas.
The Knot is fantastic! The original website is American based but the Australian version was just launched in October. You can switch between the two by clicking on the American or Aussie flags in the top left corner of the homepage.
You can use the site as a personal wedding organiser by adding in the details of your wedding like the date, how many guests, your budget etc. The budgeter will work out how much to spend on each item, add or minus any items you will or wont be using like a wedding planner if your doing it yourself. Once you have paid for something, you add in the actual price and it adjusts the budget for everything else again.
You can also type up your guest list on there and the To Do List is very handy aswell.
There are great "Top Lists" of everything from bridesmaid dresses to colour combo's and reception decorating ideas. You can check out heaps of Real Wedding galleries from people in your state or all across Australia, search vendours in your area, and read up on other Knotties wedding blogs.
As its still relatively new, it doesn't quite have all the pics the American site does but its getting there.
I love it, it has been so handy since i first started planning our wedding at the beginning of the year and I'm still turning to it now with only 4 months left to go.
Well thats my tops 3 Wedding sites, I've used up my quota of blogging for the day and must go hang out some washing...ahh back to the wonderfully mundane.
